Functional medicine is an approach to health that focuses on the root cause of illness, considering the effect on entire body systems, their relationship to one another, deficiency, excess, and the root cause—in essence, holistic health.
Illness is like a disrupted ecosystem. Just as an ecosystem relies on a delicate balance of air, water, nutrients, and diverse species to maintain harmony, your body depends on a range of factors—nutrition, sleep, stress management, and even your environment. When one part of the system is out of balance, like pollution in the air or invasive species overtaking native plants, the entire ecosystem starts to suffer. Symptoms of illness are signs of environmental distress—perhaps a drop in plant health, the extinction of certain species, or imbalances in water levels. While medications may temporarily restore some order, just as quick fixes like adding water or planting a few trees might stabilize the ecosystem in the short term, the root causes of the imbalance must be addressed for true healing. Otherwise, the ecosystem, like the body, remains vulnerable to further and future damage.

With our 10-session package, you can schedule sessions at your convenience. While meeting twice a month is recommended to keep up the momentum, the pace will be adjusted to suit your busy lifestyle.
1 60-minute foundation session, where we will discover your wants and needs, develop a basic blueprint for your health, and decide how you would like to spend the 9 sessions together.
